Run a DayZ Nasdara Server: Map, Loot and Files

Nasdara is the map of the Badlands DLC: about 16.4 km across, with 15 cities, 43 villages and 30 other named places, from airbases to oil fields. Its server files work like those of every other DayZ map, but its loot table is its own, with desert gear, new guns and brick base building that the other maps don't spawn.

The Nasdara mission folder

Nasdara's files are in dayzOffline.nasdara. On Nitrado that folder sits in dayzxb_missions on Xbox, dayzps_missions on PlayStation and mpmissions on PC, so the loot table of a PlayStation server is dayzps_missions/dayzOffline.nasdara/db/types.xml. The mission folders guide lists every file inside it.

Switch a Nitrado server to Nasdara

1. Stop the server in the Nitrado web interface.
2. In the server settings, set the mission (the map) to dayzOffline.nasdara and save.
3. Start the server. It now reads the Nasdara folder.
4. Redo the file changes you want to keep. Edits you made on your old map stay in that map's folder; the free types.xml Compare lists every change you made, so you can carry them over.

Loot only Nasdara spawns

• Guns: LeeEnfield, SCARL, MP18, Luger and Akinaka.
• Colour variants: CZ527_Desert, SKS_Desert, Glock_Tan and AKM_Gold.
• Brick base building: CommonBrick, MortarMix and BrickTrowel. The other maps' files list them with a nominal of 0, so servers there only get them from a trader or by raising the nominal in types.xml.

In Bohemia's 1.30 files, 1,103 items spawn as loot on Nasdara, and 146 of them spawn on no other map. Most are clothes: desert versions of ghillie suits, hunting gear, helmets and bags, plus kameez shirts and keffiyehs. There is local food and drink such as Ayran and HalvaCan, and melee weapons such as the Jambiya.

Loot tiers: no Tier4

Nasdara's types.xml uses Tier1, Tier2 and Tier3, plus a Unique value for 33 items. No item is set to Tier4, which on Chernarus marks the most dangerous inland areas. If you copy entries over from a Chernarus file, change their Tier4 to a tier Nasdara uses, or the item has nowhere to spawn.

Every item page in the DayZ item list shows the Nasdara values next to the other maps.

Places on the map

The largest cities include Nasdara itself, Dashtabad, Khorramabad, Bustanshahr and Sabzabad. Military and industrial sites include Dashtabad Airbase, FOB Atlas, COP Neptune, the Zulfiqar missile base, the Sarman-Naft refinery and the Marek Barq hydroelectric plant. The free Map Coordinates tool finds the X and Z of any spot for your files.

Nasdara in Law's KillFeed

The bot works on Nasdara like on the other maps: the kill feed with location links, map images in a light and a dark style, PvP heatmaps and movement paths, the live map, zones drawn on the map, and the PvP map in DayZ Hub. Behaviour alerts use Nasdara's real ground height for the skywalking, underground and through-terrain checks. Set the map with /setconfig feeds map if a server shows the wrong one.
