What the bot and this website collect, and why

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy covers the Law's KillFeed Discord bot and this website, dayzbot.com ("we", "us"). It explains what we collect, why we need it and what you can do about it. Questions or requests go to our support Discord.

What we collect

When you log in with Discord. Your Discord user ID, username, avatar and email address, the list of Discord servers you are in (so the dashboard can show the servers you manage), and the access token Discord gives us for your login. Logging in also adds you to our support Discord once, where we post updates and help with problems. You can leave it whenever you like.

When you connect a Nitrado account. The access token Nitrado gives us, so the bot can read your game server's logs and settings and run the actions you ask for, such as restarts or whitelist changes.

From the game servers the bot runs on. What your server's logs record: player names and in-game IDs, kills and deaths, hits, positions, connections, building and similar events. The bot turns these into the feeds, stats, leaderboards, maps and moderation tools the server's admins switch on.

From the Discord servers the bot is in. The channel, role and member IDs it needs to post feeds and run commands, and what you enter through commands, such as a linked gamertag, economy balances, bounties, factions and warnings.

When you build an app on our API. Your app's name, description, website and webhook address, which servers use it, and when it last called the API. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of its API token.

When you pay. Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. We receive your billing email address and the state of your subscription. We never see or store your card or bank details.

When you use a referral link. Who referred whom, and whether the friend bought the paid plan, so both of you get your free month. To stop people referring themselves, we compare the friend's Paddle customer, billing email and servers with the referrer's. The referrer sees only the first two letters of a friend's Discord name. We count how often each link is opened, not who opened it, and the bot sends both of you Discord messages when the referral moves on.

When you verify on a Discord server that uses verification. Some servers ask new members to verify on this website, to keep out alt accounts and banned players coming back. We store your Discord user ID and username, the server, when you verified, the name and country of your internet network, and one-way codes (keyed hashes) of your IP address, your network, your device (screen, graphics card, fonts, time zone and similar) and a random browser ID. We never store your IP address itself. The bot compares these codes with the other members who verified on the same Discord server only, and shows that server's staff which accounts look like the same person and why. The address and network name are looked up in MaxMind's GeoLite2 database on our own server, so they are not sent to anyone.

When you visit the website. Pages you view, your browser and device type, the page that referred you and, in the free tools, what you do there (such as opening, checking or downloading a file, never what is in it), through Google Analytics and our own analytics. When you are logged in, our own analytics links your visits to your Discord ID so we can see how the dashboard is used. When you save a file from a tool while logged in, we keep the tool, the file name and a short fingerprint of the content, to count the free daily saves and for our statistics, never the content itself. Apply to server sends the file through us to your Nitrado server, and the file it replaces is kept in that server's file history.

Why we use it

  • To run the bot and the dashboard: post feeds, keep stats, run commands and let server owners and their staff manage their servers.
  • To check who may manage a server, and to keep banned accounts out.
  • To handle subscriptions and give paid servers their paid features.
  • To answer support requests and fix problems.
  • To see which pages and features are used, so we can improve them.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not give the data above to advertisers. Some public pages show ads from Google, see Advertising.

What can be public

Some things are meant to be seen. Feeds post to the Discord channels a server's admins choose. Server owners can list their server on the public server list and open a live map to players. Stats and leaderboards show player names wherever the server's admins post or share them.

Who we share it with

  • Discord and Nitrado, whose services the bot works through.
  • Paddle, for payments, invoices and tax.
  • Google Analytics, for website statistics.
  • Google AdSense, which shows ads on some public pages, see Advertising.
  • Cloudflare, which delivers and protects this website.
  • Developer apps a server owner turns on, see below.

We may also share data when the law requires it.

Developer apps

Other developers can build tools on our API, such as roleplay helpers, stat sites or their own bots. We review every app before it can be used. An app gets nothing until a game server's owner or staff turn it on for their server.

An app a server turns on can read that server's game logs from that moment on: player names and in-game IDs, positions, hits, kills, deaths, connections and building, as the server records them. The server's admins choose whether it gets the raw log lines, the parsed events, or both. It never gets Discord data, email addresses, Nitrado tokens or payment details.

The app's developer is responsible for what they do with that data. Server admins can turn an app off at any time under Server settings › Apps, and it then stops getting new data at once. We can suspend an app that misuses data. Players who don't want a server's logs shared with an app can ask that server's admins.

Advertising

Some public pages, such as the guides and feature pages, show ads served by Google AdSense. The dashboard, the login pages and the free tools have no ads.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this website or to other websites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other vendors' advertising cookies at aboutads.info.

Cookies

The website uses a session cookie to keep you logged in and a security cookie that protects forms. Both are needed for the site to work. A referral link sets a cookie with the referral code for 30 days, so the referral still counts when you log in later. The verify page sets a cookie with a random browser ID for 2 years, and keeps the same ID in your browser's local storage, so a second account verifying in the same browser is recognised. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits, and Google AdSense sets advertising cookies on the pages that show ads.

How long we keep it

We keep data while the bot or your account is in use, and delete it when you ask us to. Verification records are deleted after 180 days, and a server's staff can delete a member's records on that server at any time. Records we must keep for tax and accounting, such as payments, are kept as long as the law requires.

Your choices

  • Ask us in the support Discord for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it.
  • Remove the bot from your Discord server, or disconnect your Nitrado account, at any time.
  • Revoke the website's access under Authorized Apps in your Discord settings.
  • Players who want their data removed from a server can also ask that server's admins.
  • Server admins can turn developer apps off under Server settings › Apps; developers can delete their app on the Developer API page.

Children

The bot and website are for people old enough to use Discord under its own terms and the law where they live. We do not knowingly collect data from younger children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Big changes are also announced in the support Discord.
