Airdrops give players a reason to move: a military supply crate comes down near a town or village, with a loadout you picked lying on top and a bonfire or a burning helicopter wreck smoking next to it. The bot posts the drop in your Discord with the place and a map of the search area, never the exact spot unless you want it.

Console servers can't run mods, so the bot uses DayZ's own object spawner, which the server reads when it starts. Each drop lands at a restart: every restart, every few restarts or by chance, as you set it. The bot writes the next drop to your server ahead of time, announces it when it sees the restart in the admin log, and the restart after takes the old crate away.

You choose the loadouts. Start from ready-made ones (Military, Sniper, Spec Ops, Assault, Explosives, Medic, Builder, Survivor) or search the whole vanilla item list and build your own.

// Loadout

What you get

Your loadouts

Build loadouts from every vanilla item, or start from eight ready-made ones. Each drop gets a random loadout, or the next one in turn.

Where it lands

Towns, villages, landmarks, camps, ruins, hills or train stations, minus any place you untick, such as trader towns. Or pin your own spots on the map.

Open ground

The bot checks the terrain: crates come down on open, flat ground near the place, never in a building or the sea.

Smoke marker

A bonfire with a smoke column, or a UH-1Y or Mi-8 wreck smoking black like a heli crash site. Or no smoke at all.

Announcements

Your title, message and colour, an optional role ping, the loadout list and a map of the search area. Tell players the place, the place and a direction, or the exact spot.

Your schedule

Every restart or every 2nd to 12th, a chance per restart, up to three crates at once, and the announcement 0 to 240 minutes after the restart.

// Deploy

Set it up

  1. Add the bot to your Discord server.
  2. Log in to the dashboard with Discord and connect your Nitrado account.
  3. Pick your DayZ server and the channels to post in. The bot creates the channels for you.
  4. Open Airdrops in your server's settings, pick the announcement channel and a loadout, and switch it on. The CFG Gameplay File must be on in the Nitrado settings.

Questions

When do airdrops land?

At a server restart: console servers only spawn objects when they start. Pick every restart, every few restarts or a chance, and set how long after the restart the bot announces it.

Do I need a mod?

No. The bot uses DayZ's own object spawner file, listed in cfggameplay.json, on Xbox and PlayStation servers on Nitrado.

Does the loot pile up?

No. Spawned objects don't stay through a restart, so the crate and whatever players left on it are gone at the next one. What players picked up stays with them.

Why are attachments next to the weapon?

The spawner file can't fit attachments, so scopes, suppressors and magazines lie next to the gun for players to attach.

Does it work on PC servers?

Not yet: airdrops are for console servers for now.
