Open the types.xml from your mission's db folder, or start from Bohemia's vanilla file, and turn the loot up or down by group: twice the guns, half the food, more ammo in military areas. The tool scales nominal and min from the values in your file, keeps min below nominal and leaves items that never spawn alone.

Ammo and magazines are sorted by their class names (Ammo_…, AmmoBox_…, Mag_…), everything else by the category in the file. Values are always worked out from the file you opened, so you can change them as often as you like.

How the loot multiplier works
Every item in types.xml has a nominal, how many the central economy keeps on the map, and a min, the count that makes it spawn more. Multiplying both by the same amount gives you more or less of that item while the economy restocks it at the same point as before. The tool sorts the items into groups by category, so you can give each group its own amount.
- Items that never spawn (nominal 0) stay at 0. That keeps crafted items and loot that only comes from events as it was.
- Rounding: results are rounded to whole numbers. With "Keep at least 1" on, an item that spawned before still spawns, even at a low multiplier. Set a group to 0 to stop it spawning.
- Min never passes nominal: it is capped at the new nominal, which the economy needs.
- Filters: "Only items that spawn in" and the tier limit the change to items with that
usageorvaluein the file, such as Military loot in Tier4.
To change single items, lifetimes or restock times, use the types.xml Editor. The guide DayZ types.xml explains every field.
Change the loot on a Nitrado server
- Open the file browser in the Nitrado web interface and go to your mission folder:
dayzxb_missions/dayzOffline.chernaruspluson Xbox,dayzps_missions/…on PlayStation. Livonia usesdayzOffline.enoch, SakhaldayzOffline.sakhaland NasdaradayzOffline.nasdara. - Download
db/types.xmland keep an untouched copy. - Open it here, set the groups and download the result.
- Upload it over the old file and restart the server. Items already on the map stay until they are picked up or despawn.
On Xbox and PlayStation servers running Law's KillFeed, the dashboard's Server Files page opens, checks and uploads this file for you and keeps the last 15 versions of every file.
Questions
How do I double the loot on my DayZ server?
Open your types.xml here, or start from vanilla, click "2× everything" and download the file. Upload it over the old types.xml in the db folder of your mission and restart the server.
Does it change items that never spawn?
No. Items with a nominal of 0 stay at 0, so crafted items and event-only loot stay as they are.
Why does the map not fill up with ten times the loot?
Loot only spawns on free spots in buildings, so a very high nominal stops filling the map once those spots are taken. Raise it in steps and watch how the server runs.
What happens to min?
By default min is scaled by the same amount, so the economy restocks at the same point as before. It never ends up higher than nominal.
Can I boost only military loot?
Yes. Pick Military under "Only items that spawn in" and set the groups you want. Items that also spawn in other places count as military too.
Is my types.xml uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser and your file never leaves your device. The vanilla button loads Bohemia's file straight from their public GitHub repository.
