Where to find Hunting Scope in DayZ
Hunting Scope is the in-game name; server files such as types.xml call it HuntingOptic.
On Chernarus, the economy keeps about 11 on the map and spawns more when fewer than 9 are left. Each one lasts 4 h when nobody touches it. It spawns in Hunting places, in Tier3 and Tier4.
On Livonia, the economy keeps about 7 on the map and spawns more when fewer than 5 are left. Each one lasts 4 h when nobody touches it. It spawns in Hunting places, in Tier3.
On Sakhal, the economy keeps about 6 on the map and spawns more when fewer than 3 are left. Each one lasts 4 h when nobody touches it. It spawns in Hunting places.
On Nasdara, the economy keeps about 4 on the map and spawns more when fewer than 2 are left. Each one lasts 4 h when nobody touches it. It spawns in Hunting places.
Where to look
- Hunting stands and cabins (Hunting)
- Inside, it lies on the floor and on shelves and tables.
Loot tiers: Chernarus Tier3, Tier4 and Livonia Tier3. Tier1 is near the coast and Tier4 deep inland, so a higher tier means a longer trip.

"Counts" lists where copies count towards nominal: count_in_map means copies lying in the world, count_in_cargo in containers, count_in_hoarder in tents, barrels and stashes, count_in_player on players. Every value is explained in DayZ types.xml explained.
