Static contaminated zones, the gas areas players need protection to enter, are listed in cfgeffectarea.json in the mission folder. Each area has a name, a position and a size, plus the gas particles that make it visible.
What an area has
- AreaName and Type:
ContaminatedArea_Staticis a gas area that is always there. - TriggerType: what happens to players inside.
- Pos: X and Z on the map; a Y of 0 puts it on the ground.
- Radius: the size, in metres.
- PosHeight / NegHeight: how far the area reaches above and below the position, in metres.
- Rings and particles: InnerRingCount, InnerPartDist, OuterRingToggle, OuterPartDist, OuterOffset, VerticalLayers and VerticalOffset place the visible gas; ParticleName picks it.
- Player effects: the particles around the player and the screen tint while inside.
The file also lists safe positions: where players are moved to.
