Trader mods don't exist on console, but your players can still buy gear. Law's KillFeed runs the trader on the web: players open your shop on dayzbot.com, pay with the money they earned on your server, and the items spawn at their chosen spot after the next server restart.
Before you start
- Your server is on Nitrado and set up with the bot (see the killfeed setup guide).
- It is an Xbox or PlayStation server. Delivery uses a console server file, so PC servers are not supported yet.
- The money system is on, so players have something to spend. They earn from PvP kills, time online, wages, bounties and
/work.
Stock the shop
- Open your server in the dashboard and go to the Trader.
- Add items with their DayZ class name and a price, and sort them into categories.
- Bundle items into packs with a discount, and set a purchase limit per player if you like.
- Optional: give Discord roles a discount, or only let members with a certain role buy.
- Choose how orders are handled: approve or deny each one with buttons in your admin channel, or let them go through on their own. Denied orders are refunded.
How players buy
- They log in on dayzbot.com with Discord and open your shop. Players only see shops of Discords they are in.
- They save a drop point, or use their last position in game with one click if they linked their in-game name with
/gt link. - They fill the cart and pay from cash or bank.
Approved orders are written to your server's object spawner file through Nitrado. DayZ reads that file when the server starts, so the items are waiting at the drop point after the next restart. The bot then clears them from the file so they only spawn once.
Free and paid limits
The free plan allows 25 items and 1 pack per server, 50 purchased items per server per day, and 1 saved drop point per player. The paid plan removes the item, pack and purchase limits and allows 10 drop points per player.
