Console DayZ servers can't run mods, so a killfeed has to come from outside the game. Law's KillFeed reads the admin log that Nitrado keeps for your Xbox or PlayStation server and posts every kill, death and join to your Discord. It is free, and setup takes about five minutes.
What you need
- A DayZ server rented from Nitrado (Xbox, PlayStation or PC).
- A Discord server where you can add bots (Manage Server permission).
- Your Nitrado login, to connect the account once.
Set it up
- Add the bot to your Discord. Use the Add to Discord button below and pick your server.
- Log in to the dashboard on dayzbot.com with your Discord account and open Add Server.
- Connect Nitrado. One click signs you in to Nitrado and lists your DayZ servers. The dashboard sees on its own whether each one is Xbox, PlayStation or PC.
- Pick the server and the Discord it should post to. The wizard checks that the bot is on that Discord and can see its channels.
- Choose your channels. Tick the feeds you want, such as the kill feed, PvE deaths, connections and the build log, and the bot creates a category with those channels for you.
- Turn on Player List Logging in Nitrado (optional). Without it the kill feed still works, but player positions, maps and online player lists stay empty.
Check that it works
The bot reads your server's admin log every two minutes, so the first kills and joins show up within a few minutes of happening, not instantly. Run /troubleshoot in Discord and pick Check Channels: it sends a test post to every feed channel and lists any that are missing.
Want a different look? Every embed can be restyled in the dashboard. The free plan changes colours, titles and author text; the paid plan opens up descriptions, footers, custom fields and field order.
Not an admin on that Discord?
If the Discord account you log in with isn't an admin on the Discord that should get the feed, the wizard can give you an ID instead. An admin on that Discord runs /install with it, and the bot sets up the channels there.
