On PC, safe zones usually come from a mod. Console servers can't run mods, so you need another way to keep the trader or the spawn area peaceful. Law's KillFeed watches every kill on your server and acts on kills inside zones you draw: it can ban or unwhitelist the killer, ping your staff and post the kill to its own channel.
Be clear with your players about what this does: it can't stop a bullet in game. It removes whoever breaks the rule, within a few minutes, which is usually enough to keep a zone quiet.
Draw the zone
- Open your server in the dashboard and go to Zones.
- Click the map where the zone should be, around your trader, spawn or event area. Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal are supported.
- Drag the circle to move it and the edge to resize it. Zones are circles with a radius from 10 m to 15 km.
- Give it a name and pick the channel where kills inside it should be posted.
Choose what happens on a kill
- Ban killer: adds the killer to your Nitrado ban list.
- Remove from whitelist: takes the killer off your whitelist instead, for whitelisted servers.
- Ping: mentions a staff member or role in the zone channel.
- Send location: adds a map link to the post.
- Bounty: puts a bounty on the killer.
A kill counts as inside the zone when the victim dies inside the circle, so a sniper shooting into a safe zone from outside is caught too.
Add your admins and any trusted players to the zone's ignore list so they can deal with trouble inside it without being banned.
Paid plan extras
The free plan gives each server 3 zones with kill checks. The paid plan raises that to 50 and adds entry checks: an alert with the player's position when someone walks into a zone, ban on entry, and zone ban lists that ban listed players as soon as they are seen inside. Entry checks need Player List Logging turned on in Nitrado.
