Your server's weather can be set in cfgweather.xml in the mission folder. It only takes effect when the root tag has enable="1"; otherwise the server ignores the file and uses its own weather.
What each part does
- overcast: clouds, from 0 (clear sky) to 1 (fully overcast).
- fog: from 0 (none) to 1 (the thickest).
- rain and snowfall: from 0 (none) to 1 (the heaviest). They only fall while the clouds are within their thresholds.
- windMagnitude: wind speed in metres per second. windDirection: in radians, from -3.14 to 3.14.
- storm: lightning: how often (density, 0 to 1), the clouds needed (threshold) and the seconds between strikes (timeout).
- reset: 1 starts the weather from the values in the file at every restart instead of carrying on.
The values inside each part
- current: the value at server start, the seconds to get there and the seconds it stays.
- limits: the weather stays between this lowest and highest value.
- timelimits: the shortest and longest time each change takes, in seconds.
- changelimits: the smallest and biggest change in one go.
- thresholds: for rain and snow, the cloud range they need, and the seconds to stop once the clouds leave it.
Common setups
- No fog: set fog's current value and both limits to 0.
- No rain: set rain's limits to 0, or move its thresholds above the highest cloud value.
- Always clear: keep overcast's limits low, such as 0 to 0.3.
Make sure enable="1" is set, check the file with the free DayZ File Checker, upload it and restart. On Xbox and PlayStation, the dashboard's Server Files page has an easy editor for this file on the paid plan.
